I founded Applied Torque Solutions from a relentless pursuit of better performance parts and smarter engineering solutions for modern transmissions. The company’s origins trace back to the purchase of a 2021 Toyota Supra and the development of a custom-built ZF 8HP51 transmission at a time when high-performance solutions for the platform were extremely limited and prohibitively expensive.

With experience working on the ZF 8HP platform since 2012 and more than two decades of professional transmission-building expertise, the foundation was already in place to engineer something better. The goal was simple: develop a transmission solution capable of handling extreme power levels while maintaining the smooth drivability and reliability modern performance vehicles demand.

The success of the initial build quickly attracted attention within the Dallas performance community. What began as helping local Supra enthusiasts soon grew into a demand for reliable, high-performance transmission solutions. As word spread and more enthusiasts sought out the same level of engineering and support, Applied Torque Solutions was born.

The company designs and manufactures the world’s largest selection of ZF 8HP performance components while offering complete transmission builds and upgrade solutions engineered for high-performance track, and racing applications.
